Had a visitor in the hayfield behind the house. It was just beyond our garden area about 50 yds from the patio. I’ve only seen a fleeting glimpse of a Bobcat crossing our gravel road and a photo on a trail cam so this was pretty neat. image000005.jpeg image000004.jpeg image000003.jpeg image000001.jpeg

It doesn't upset me but I've noticed since Bobcat sightings are up in my area I'm seeing less Turkeys. Squirrels seem to be about the same as they always have. Dunno about the Rabbits. I prefer Bobcats to Coyotes.

Bobcats are particularly hard on turkey nests and sitting hens, I believe, but they are neat animals. Coyotes are hard on everything; I share your dislike of them. And I'm a dog person, in general. :D

Thats a big cat. Don't want one that close to my yard. Think I'd have to fix that.

We have a young bobcat that I see walking the fenceline some mornings. We are flooded with turkeys so maybe more bobcats is a good thing.

    Great that you got pics.

I was told there was one around my wood yard. Finally saw it last year. I ran to get my camera as it was close but couldn't get pics. I first thought it was my friends cat (he has a tabby) but quickly realized it wasnt. I've seen turkeys plenty of times.

Got of pic of the bobcat walking around the house. Found out he was hunting the neighbors cat. We chased him off.

My neighbor made the news today when a big cat peeked into his cat door. There has been a lot of livestock killings in the last year. Here is the news article:
