I went to my favorite wood pile today. Put a 36" on the 661, and a new RS full comp chain and worked up a big ol chunk of Elm.

    661on_log[1].jpg

Got four nice sized rounds out of that log, all blocked up,

loaded up ready to head home.

    made one video,

Thanks! It really handled the 36" better then I thought it would :) I have 12 tanks threw the 661 now, it has really woke up!

I lied in my 1st post, I made two vids today. here is the other one. I started out noodling one of those rounds with the 441, got about 1/4 of the way threw and just had to get the 661 back in my hands :) not sure what happened at 1:05, all I did was set the 441 on my tailgate, sounds like I threw it, but I didn't!!

no problems with the PNW cover clogging when noodling.

Must be nice to be able to wear a t shirt and also not have to have muck boots on to cut. It's still just cold enough here for a coat but warm enough to thaw the ground so it's all mud

    Great load btw.

Your the 2nd guy who mentioned that, about t-shirt weather. It was a beautiful day yesterday, but we are not out of the woods yet!!

April is a brutal month here for snow, being 3 hours east of the Rockies, we get some wicked snow storms in late March to the beginning of May, we had 5" of wet heavy snow last mothers day. :) April is probably our snowiest month of winter!!

I enjoy the nice days this time of year!! But it can change in a matter of an hour here.

We get snow in April quite a bit but usually gone within 2 days at most. This year could surprise us though. Was colder day after day for longer than I can remember. Getting a week off here now but it ain't over till it's over.

Thanks Dexter, how was your day today :) any pics of vids to share of your 460/461 shootout :) :)

I am so glad I bought the 661 :dex::yes: the only thing that would be better then having a 661, wood be having two 661's

I could see it happening :D:D (I think) Trying to convince myself, it would be nice to have one for bucking, and one for noddling, that way they have a chance to rest/cool down between use's, and I wood not wear one of them out.

Whatya say, sound like a good plan?

No pics or vids. But SquareFile did come over with his Arsenal of saws and I ran the 2171, 460, and 461.. All were very close.. Very close (few tenths).

The only pic I took was before he got here. This was the log that we attacked with my three 70 cc saws and his 390xp, 346xp, 346xp (yes. 2 of them), 2153 (a 3rd), and his minty Husq 2100.

The 2100 he left here for my display in the basement. I bought a couple pulleys and I am working on how to hang it in my basement now. I want it to lay level.

Not bar down like the others I have hanging (I have 4 or 5 left to hang). There is only 4 in this pic.

I like that log holder! Is that a skid on the one end so you can move it?

Nice basement also!! Wish mine looked half as nice!!

I bet you guys had fun! It is always nice to have someone to cut with or hang out with. I've been cutting alone since the GTG I had in January. The coalition is thinking about meeting again in a few weeks (if we can all get our schedules to jive) so I should have someone to cut with :)

It's two 1 x 6 runners. The snow was pretty deep, so I just used those for "floatation".

It was basically made out of whatever scraps I had lying close. :)
