My 2 brain cells are fighting today, so I’ll defer to the experts. I would leave behind crotch pieces of any species.

I'd get as much as possible, regardless of what it is, unless you have at least 3 years already split and stacked at home.

If it's free, it's for me. Excellent score, and welcome aboard.
Big stumps and the crotch pieces are annoying, but I take them anyway. Hope to see more of you around these parts.

Along with that silver maple you also have some red maple.

Thanks guys! Loaded up on the honey locust and only got two rounds of the mulberry. I like to rip the crotches to see if they look cool. Pretty sure this one is cherry. Please correct me if I’m wrong because I got a bunch of it stacked:

The stump looks like black locust. Where’d that go?

Dont think its osage as we dont have it in Connecticut. There is a chance that could be osage, but at that size mulberry has a similar bark. As Eric Wanderweg pointed out get that honey locust and mulberry.
I also see silver maple and ash in the mix.

Great mix of wood. I would grab it all, but I for one, love crotches in my stacks.

Strike while the iron is hot. Get your three year plan started and grab everything you can.
