The stove needed to be cleaned, so I shut it off and gave it a good cleaning. Got it all back together push the power button and nothing! Instead of looking for the simple solution, I start checking power at the receptacle and power at the stove itself, even though the fuel indicator light was on and everything checked out. I then ohm out the vacuum switch and it was closed, but I went ahead and jumped that out, and still nothing. Go back and sit down and look at my manual again, and bingo, when cleaning it, I must of bumped the switch to auto off, instead of manual. Press the power button, and on came the stove! Now I hope I did not mess anything up, cause I hit a metal power connector on the board with the multi meter lead and got a arc of electricity. I would be pizzed if I cost myself a 500 dollar board!
No sense worrying about it, if there is an issue it will reveal itself soon enough. I think you will be fine.
I agree with you there, few weeks back I was looking for my wallet, searched the house high and low, and then the light bulb goes on, its in my back pocket. I am starting with C.R.S Syndrome and I am only 32 I have a short fuse, so I had to bite my tongue tonight, did not want the kids to learn a new vocabulary I was so mad
I forget all the details, But I too tore into the beast only to find the error was not in the stove or controls.
My best one was a new dishwasher for this house, sadly the thread is still here After squeezing in trouble shooting mostly at night over a couple weeks and endless calls with warranty repair(I had to repeat EVERY troubleshooting step many times after losing 10-30 minutes on autoanswer crap and verifying me, serial number, my medical history (LOL), finally ordered a new valve pump actuator part and it finally worked! Almost woooo! Except it appears I was sent an older "new in box" machine and the stainless inside was rusted GE ended up sending me a new washer, but, WW.....wow
I have two WWW favorites!! (BTW, he can fix anything on older trucks, ANYTHING, not a mechanic but raised with practice working on them)...... Previous home extremely steep dirt road, hairpin turn before our driveway. I heard his engine and tires throwing dirt and gravel and watched him down below from the window in his black silverado chvy p/u He ended up going back down the hill and coming up in reverse He was afraid the pickup had serious problems.... Turns out he was low on gasoline Other one was his first truck with the remote keychain locks. The 1999 F250 did not have a keyhole on the tailgate. The day after he brought it home I wondered why came home from work and was still in the garage. Walked out there to find he grabbed his splitting maul and was going to use it to dislodge the tailgate mech Yes, I tried the keychain unlock and it worked
Fukin hilarious...I did the same thing, switched the switch with the shop vac! Yes I am an idiot (shut up Smokeshow)
Several years ago some idjit tried to steal my wife's old Chevy Cadaver by trying to start it with the house key that was sitting in the console...
Sorry about that, I had to edit my signature I burned them last year! If I remember correctly they were a good pellet that burned hot, and the ash was not bad. If I saw them around here again I would buy them!
Bags, I've been burning them for 3 years. Good pellets. The length is pretty consistent. I haven't had any bridging at all with them like I did with Carolina Wood Pellets. Not a lot of fines and the ash content is reasonable. I'll continue to buy them as long as they are available. I'm not going to say they are hot or cold since IMHO, that's pure BS. All pellets are rated closely in BTU's as you know and what really makes a pellet 'seem' hot is the length and how dense you can pack them in the auger. If you see Greenway's, buy them.
Same experience here with Greenways. Burned some last season and liked them a lot. They were very similar to sets in my stove. Would definitely buy more if I ever see them again.
I am in the process of burning a ton of the Greenways now and like them. Picked them up for $214 a ton. They do seem a lot like Sets and Pro Pellets to me and I have zero complaints. I'd buy them again for sure. I was asking because a friend has burned them numerous years (used to pay $169 - $189 per ton) and picked them up pre-buy this fall for $205 per ton with all the pellet price gouging. I'll be all over them if they are cheaper than others. I just wanted others input so Thanks. That lets me know they are pretty consistent over the years too. I might go snag some more here soon. They had plenty and may mark them down again. They had them at $250 a ton after pre buy but had a sale a month or so ago and I picked them up for $214 OTD. They may mark them down lower as they are sitting on some tons last I checked. My friend has burned them for years and then the last two seasons he had Sets but switched back to the Greenways because they are good pellets and the price was right for him this year.
Oh yeah buddy. Been there done that before. My kid is 34 now and she has heard every incarnation of every nasty word ever uttered by me or anyone else. Having been a trucker in the construction trade my vocabulary picked up some pretty SALTY overtones
