So this morning the girlfriend is down in the basement fixing the fire. I head down to talk to her about something and she runs to the stairs so I can't get through. She tells me to wait until she leaves for work to go any further. I got suspicious and pushed past her. The light was off over my bench but there was a very distinct object sitting on it. A few choice words came out of my mouth! This is what was there... image.jpg
Adirondackstihl's infamous 10mm 044 "Christine". Jeremy is a good friend of mine and had mentioned to me he might sell her. No way is heck was I letting it be too far from him. So I said I'd buy it, I just needed a few weeks to gather some cash. Little to my knowledge, a week later the girlfriend and Jeremy made a deal. Jeremy came to cut firewood with my brother and me, two weeks ago but had to leave early because he had "things to do". Come to find out he left early to deliver the saw to my house!

    Thanks to both of you!

Love it. Some would not be caught dead with a saw like that though. Many like shiny new looking saws. I dont mind a saw with some miles and wear on it. I call it character. And that saw has character!

    The saw or the girl?!!
What's a new shiny saw look like?! I've never had one! They don't need to be pretty, just functional. If they're pretty they probably don't get used much.

My thoughts exactly. Those scratches and bumps dont hurt as much. 100% functional and I am happy :) been known to use saws that are not 100% functional...things like broken kill switches etc !!
