Hi all, I've been using a pair of generic safety glasses you pick up for a few bucks at any hardware store. I also wear a Husky safety helmet...not the pro, but one with built in hearing protection. I need to step up my safety glasses game...the ones I have just fog up so easily, even in cold weather. I run hot, I guess. I was looking at those Bugz...but they're pretty expensive up here. Any other suggestions? Cheers.
I've been wearing glasses pretty much my entire life. I have yet to find something that will make them actually fog proof. Shaving cream. Nope. Cat crap..nope. I haven't tried rain x. But that wouldn't prevent fog. it would just run off easy lol.
I used to skin dive a lot. Mask would fog up. Went back to the dive shop for some fog proof solution and clerk told me just spit on the inside of your mask, smear it around, rinse it off in the water and you're good. That was back in the 70's and it has worked great ever since! Get over that sinus infection before you try it though....
I have bugeyez and like them, I think they're 20 mesh, for clear safety glasses I put catcrap anti-fog on and no problems. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Geeze I thought after the first mention of cat crap it was some sort of joke. Then I see another, and figure it's a real thing. But not the real think I was thinking. It's an actual product.
Scuba diver here since early 80's , That was exactly what we were taught. Long before any special sprays or snake oil even existed. Yup it works. Now for the booger? Maybe on a hook and cast that thing next to some lily pads.
I have good luck with the shaving foam . work a little bit of it into glasses well , let dry and buff out.
I wear a pair of mesh safety glasses when I don’t have my helmet on. The helmet has a mesh face shield. You should be able to order from granger up there for around 12 bucks
Milwaukee makes a pair of fog free safety glasses. I buy them at home depot. I wear them all day long at work. I had tried several dozen different safety glasses before I found these. There is nothing worse than trying to intubate someone while squinting through fogged lenses. These keep the nasty stuff out of my eyes and they truly don't fog. They are also really comfortable. You can't just any ole one from the cat box. Too dry and it'll scratch your lenses. Need one that's moist...but no so moist it will fall apart and get all over.
