Just got some pictures from a friend. He has been turned loose to cut all he wants from this woods. Today he got started and this is sweet! Those can be a bear to cut sometimes but it is worth the effort. There will be a lot of wood from this one stump but notice not much for top limbs. I guess this woods has lots of ash that needs to come down. Anyway, I thought you guys might like this. Wishlist is his screen name but he is not on often.
That's some darn pretty stuff. With that title I thought for a minute you were getting ornery my friend.
Dennis, I noticed a bunch of Ash on the way to Alpena yesterday, and a lot of the bark was turning a light brown or tan. Is that evidence of EAB?
Most definitely Dave. One of the first things noticeable is the bark begins to flake off and the trees will also at that time send out some new suckers but they won't live anyway.
Nice score for you! Ground looks level, tree is bucked up in direction of trailer, no underbrush to contend with, snow isn't deep. Just how long did it take the Ornery one to get the job done??
I was getting a kick out of the fact that some weren't reading the post completely. Was wondering how I should word a post about it but it now appears you guys took care of it for me! I talked to Wishlist again today and he wanted pictures of our dray and he will build one today or tomorrow. I wish he's said in a week or two because then I would have just took the dray to him. I can picture him coming home and seeing a dray in his driveway. lol But he would have known whose it was.
