Bolted it too the 044 on a 24" bar and made some sawdust. I'm looking for a natural edge bench slab inside this red oak log. image.jpg

Did some more work on her today. I went ahead and sharpened a 20" chain at 10 degrees and made 3 more cuts. I touched it up again before the last one and I'm really happy with the results. I didn't follow the conventional method of keeping the bar mostly vertical in the cut, instead I first scored the entire length of the log about sprocket deep and then kept going like that working a little deeper each pass in a rocking motion. I got a pretty nice 1-1.25" board from that cut as well.
