Recently picked up a Ryobi ONE + 10" chain saw for those "Quicky" jobs

    To sum it up ....

It works fine, but it's not going logging any time soon:rofl:

The standard battery that came with it was able to get the saw through four or five 4" limbs that were maybe 10-15 feet long.

I cut the stuff up into 18" pieces.

The big Azz battery is a must have.

A great little tool for doing yard cleanup quickies, camping and maybe trail cleanup.

The unit is light weight and could be carried easily on a quad or a big dirt bike.

    Carry extra batteries

When ya just don't want to deal with having to dig out the gasoline and fool with the the bad boy saw, the 18 volt unit is handy.

Another plus is it will allow quiet cleanup around the house (in the city) when ya just don't want to wake up the entire neighborhood.

Right where I want to be.
Good review with real world numbers.
Been trying to talk my SisIL into getting a battery saw, but they're a little expensive for her. She has a very tough time starting the 14" Homelite she bought.
To put it another way.....she can't start it.
Gives me an excuse to go over and cut firewood at her place.

Used it again to limb up a couple trees while mowing.
Had some limbs that would not clear the roll bar on the MAX

    Very quick and handy

That looks like the same battery as used on the screwdriver or perhaps I am wrong. I have a weed whacker that takes a larger battery and perhaps this is the battery that is used on the saw? btw, I do like the weed whacker and no longer have to pull that rope starter! Sweet.

The 18 volt batteries come in several capacities, but all fit the various tools.

The saw does best with the big battery.

The lithium ion batteries are the best choice as compared to the old NICAD

I upgraded my tools to the LI batteries.

Just had to get the LI batteries and the newer combo charger (will charge the li as well as the nicad)

Nicads are pretty much old school any more.

I have a battery powered chainsaw that I really like. It's an EGO from Home Depot, has a 56 volt lithium ion battery, it's great for small work, pretty impressive. I recommend it.
