Yeah, it's certainly been an odd season. There's been hail in the lower counties of SE Wisconsin. Crazy for February. I saw that this February was the warmest February in history, for Milwaukee at least.
And it's moving in here right now. I'm hearing some thunder off on the distance. Severe weather potential with high winds, heavy rain and hail for this afternoon. And there's the lightning!!
60mph plus winds here last night. From my view out the windows so far I have: the neighbors trash cans in my yard, my weber smoker blown over about 6 feet from where it was, missing patio cushions, and tons of sticks from my neighbors willow tree. From the sounds my vinyl siding was making all night, all full walk around of the house is needed once the sun is up. Hope everyone stays safe. So. IL and IN had twisters, and I heard Northern IN had more touchdowns last night than the Colts did all year.
That lower storm system hit us in Cinci last night. I woke up several times through the night and every time rain was pounding the house and the lightening/thunder was constant from at least 1:00 AM until 6:30. The highways were gridlocked this morning so I took backroads and passed at least 5 large ash trees that had fallen across the road during the night and had been cleaned up. I’m REALLY glad I rented a man-lift in December and took down the 36” dead ash that was leaning towards the house, last night could have been a disaster otherwise! March sure came in like a lion! Just not in the way it typically does.
It looked like it could get bad last night but didn't here. Only a couple distant rolls of thunder and some rain. I went to bed.
Got wind gusts up near 40 today and supposed to get some bad storms coming through late this afternoon near 530-6pm T2 Tappin'
I hope no one in the community had to go out today and feed their saws from tornado damage T2 Tappin'
