This is the first time burning Barefoot for me. Based off of what I've read in the past I somewhat had high expectations for these being from a flooring type company. Pellets are dense, light oak color with a nice sheen on them. Glass stayed very clean. Some pellets were on the longer side and I did have some auger crunching. Ash was a medium grey color, fine and ash volume was low.

All in all I was a bit disappointed with these as my stove seemed to not like them. I developed a large ash cake/clinker (on top of ash pic) that covered the entire bottom of my firepot. Probably need to bump the air up on the to try and avoid the ash cakes. I rate these at 3 stars.

Disclaimer: as with everything....YOUR MILEAGE MAY VARY....the review is just my opinion of them

The Envi-8's I burn are also made of the Barefoot pellet. According to the guy I buy them from, they are the 6th ranked pellet. I like the blocks for my wood stove. A ton goes for $320.
