I reluctantly ventured into one of the Evil Empire's shops yesterday and while in the belly of the beast I noticed they have Poulan bar oil as well as the SuperTech; both at the same price for a gallon jug. Is one better than the other or both more or less the same?

Bar oil is bar oil for the most part. Some is slightly thicker than others I've found. Run thin in the cold, thick in the summer of you even see a difference. Now......where's my flame suit? Surely I'll hear about this for evah.

Btw....quit giving your money to wally. They are the reason we don't have small shops around anymore. I use the tractor supply oil....countyline iirc.

I've used both, my W*lm*rt no longer carries the Poulan. The Supertech is thin and gray in color, looks like it's recycled oil. The Poulan is thicker, amber in color (like oil should be) and much tackier. Get the Poulan.

Don't no if there is a dimes worth of difference in bar oil for the average user. Maybe if you were sawing every day. I use what ever is cheapest. The jug I presently have came from TSC. My knee hurts me and I can't climb up on my soapbox against Wally.
