The Husqvarna 555 uses a "small mount" husky bar but nobody seems to list any bars as a fit for the saw. It is defined as a 3/8 pitch, .050 gauge and my 20 inch chisel tooth uses a 72DL chain. The chain is very common and I had no trouble buying plenty of spares for a while to come but I would like to get a lighter bar and maybe a 24 inch bar. That is where I run into no bar listed on Baileys and other similar places for this model. Is there another Huqvarna model with an identical mount so I can just look for that model until the after market reference lists get caught up with the saws being made these days?

Baileys bar selector pulls up the 555 for me. You can also look up the 357xp or 346.

The naileys site seems kinda user unfriendly to me, more complex than it needs to be.

Not sure I would want to run a 24" with it but I guess you can if your easy with it. And there are plenty of aftermarket bars there not saw specific and that mount has been around for decades.

Lowes has 24" bars hanging on the shelf. Same mount as the 460 Rancher.

Should be able to find all the items you listed for a small mount Husq. No problem at all. As mentioned previously, same mount as some other common models. 346XP, 357XP, 359, 262XP, etc.

My Lowes does not have a saw bar that long. They are selling the 50cc Rancher with a 20 inch though.
I have lots of power and good bar lube with the 20 inch and the oiler set to medium so I figured a long bar would be a cheaper way to go for an occasional need. I will try using that K095 designation and see what it gets me.

I would ask fordf150 I know he carries Total super bars in the K095 mount. He is easy to deal with.

I was having issues with Bailey's site last weekend. I could get down to selecting my saw, and then the next drop down menu would be empty. It did that all night, I had to wait until the next day for it to work.

The Baileys site sometimes does not like phones and will act a fool when you try to use that bar selector thing and other features from one.

The Baileys site insists on knowing my saw and then only shows me 16, 18 or 20 inch. The fact that the bar can be purchased as large as 28 inch from Oregon does not get them to make things easy.

currently your options are pretty limited on a lighter bar in 20" and non existent in 24". The 20" sugi light weight is available from me and one other guy right now(he is cheaper than me by a few bucks....my bars came from him) and the Total Light and Tough 20" small mount is coming but not sure when my delivery date is.

Just remembered Oregon came out with a reduced weight laminate bar similar to the techlites just a few months ago...available only in 20", 200VXLHK095 is the part number for it. Has a list price of $55.15 but should be able to lay your hands one for that $50 shipped...cant comment on quality or any of that since ive only seen them listed in the catalog and havent ordered any yet.

Thanks for the info F150. I see the Oregon bars that long and longer but I wanted to try a light weight Sugi on this saw.

I don't do Facebook, so don't know which source that is. But here's a good one for Sugi bars; woodcuttersgaragellc.com Maybe the same one?
