Buzzed up the wood I hauled down from the trail with the funky .325 chain I sharpened on the square grinder. It’s still throwing chips but could use another session on the grinder. I had it buried in some rotten Fir and the dirt yesterday so I was happy it was cutting at all.

Surprisingly the wood wasn’t terribly bad after laying on the ground long enough for the moss to get thick on it.

Glad it's still solid for you. What kind of selection do you have?

Mostly Alder with a little small Maple here and there.
There was a bigger Fir piece that has been down for several years that wasn’t in good shape, but I’ve cut worse, and I should be able to get some BTUs out of it.
I’m thinking everything on the neighbor’s place will be Alder and should be good if I can get to it this year.

Did you have any time to play around with the grinder to see those dresser angles? Bunch of guys use angle finders to speed up the learning curve. If interested, I could find a vid.
