Well they went faster than they cooked. 4 hours on the kettle. Kettles work great for 1-2 racks. These things take practice. These were my best yet, and I'm sure they will be better next time.
Hope I can continue to inspire... hey that's a nice grill you got there. How did they turn out. I'm hit or miss on ribs. I feel better about every other food I cook. I just have no idea how ribs will turn out. Like I said.... they take practice. By the way, that picture of your kid eating a chicken leg is awesome.
Thanks my son said the ribs were yummy. It was my first try on the kettle. I just let the temp settle in at 300 and threw them on. I got 4 hours out of the single charcoal and hickory load. Temps varied between 300 and 250. I was pretty happy with them.
You can get a kettle to run at or below 250. Mines humming at 250° right now. Has been for 6 hours. From my experience with a digital thermometer it's +- 10°
