Just made a trip to my local Lowes for some High Temp Sealant for my stove vent pipe and notice a large stock pile of full pallets of AWF's. I saw well over 50-60 full pallets. These are the hardwood variety, not the softies.
Still at $259 per ton. Also saw some Cheat River, Green Supreme, Nations Choice and a 2 unclaimed pallets of PTL's(there was 5 up high on the pallet racking that had a Sold tag on them)

They have the same brands at the Bethlehem Lowe's too but they are now out of PTL's.

I got a few test bags of AWF hardwoods at TSC last year and really liked them a lot. Would buy them again. Steve did a review of them too and they scored very well, 4 out of 5 stars I think - check out the review section for details.

I was tempted with the PTL's but the wife was with me and she was questioning why I was even looking at the pellets when we have this years supply already tucked away in the basement. :heidi:

I've used that one and every other excuse in the book too. It's getting tough to come up with new ones...

If the prices start to drop, she'd be onboard. She is the thrifty one of us 2. I think she might still have the first dollar she ever earned,:D

Winter of 2013, the AWF's was all I burned. My Harman P43 ate 4.5 tons that winter. No issues, would buy again!

Lemme rephase that. At $219/ton I loved em at $259/ton I like them. ;)

I think Cleanfire changes from season to season and or use a few mills(like TSC). Insider showed me pic's of them being bagged at NEWP in NH. Hassle and Hughes showed them being bagged at their mill although both were a good while ago.

I was trying to get UPC's to help track some, But only got one posted and it was a dead end(generic UPC that was purchased)..................

Yeah, this was this past season, I'm not sure if that's the case right now or not.

They sound like another company we know that does that

AWF hardwood is a nice pellet. My understanding, unless they've changed course, is they're focused on producing primarily their white pine ultra this season and and not too many of the hardwood. Of course that might be what they're telling the smaller shops.
Last I heard Cleanfire softies were the AWF WP. And I think someone here recently posted an email from Todd at Hamers stating that the Cleanfire HW were Hamers. I've been known to be wrong though. At least that's what my wife keeps telling me.

CleanFire Pacific's?? Always though those were western brands(AKA BC softies)...... For years it was pinnacle bagging them IIRC.........

We knew that Hamers was baggin Lowes Clean Energy brand, But I didn't know they were baggin the Clean Fires for Woodpellets.com

FYI this is woodpellet.coms parent company and their list is what I would expect them to be using primarily. But things do change as its generally a quoted contract and they are always looking for the best way to make more $$$$$ IMHO.
