Our lift has a Deutz diesel and it started seeping fuel on the top of the motor return lines. one had a small pin hole began that was spritzing fuel at one of the cast line holders on the head. The hose has a small rubber inside with a cloth braiding on the outside. Went to a local Deutz tractor dealer and he was kinda clueless. Said, 'Here is what I use" and handed me a length of rubber U.S. sized fuel hose. Got home and it was way loose and wouldn't fit in the holders. Blew off without hose clamps or wire ties. Did some searching and found this guy on Ebay. Correct, German made hose at a good price. There is enough to do everything on top of the motor. Just cut to the lengths you need and slip on. Check your motor as the seep through the line as they age. If they are wet, replace it and be done. I'm going to order another for a spare. Just thought I'd pass this along to others because I know they use these air cooled diesels on a lot of equipment. We had a bobcat at work with a deutz. I replaced the lines too. I bought from bobcat dealer in bulk and cut to fit.
Interesting. The return on mine is steel to the last injector. Then a high pressure rubber line with pressed fittings to the tank.
I had heard they changed the system on newer versions but not sure. What year is yours? Ours has a normal rubber fuel line back to the tank but if I'd have to guess it has been replaced. It has a hose clamp on it and is US sized hose.
That's on a year 90 6250. I'd have to double check the 6275. It's been a few years since its ran but I'm pretty sure it's the same.
Well, I guess that is not true about them changing as the lift is a 1998. From what I have been able to gather it is a common problem.
We have a lot of metric equipment and piping at work. I can't stand it when guy insist on "converting" it to US sizes. Just use the right friggin' material....
I like how Bobcat on my T190 has sized everything at the sizes that crossover, So they use a lot of 9/16-14mm, and some of 3/4-19mm, 15/16-24mm,1 1/16-27mm. The bolts and thus thread pitches are standard though. Except on the Kubota engine of course.
