Are 034, 034 super and 036 body parts the same?

My 034 super looks like it's been through a nuke blast and back... A friend of mine has 2 saws 036 and 034 that are junk but between the two I can get a lot of good body parts. Will they be the same?

You can swap them around, but they're not all identical. The 036 recoil cover looks quite a bit different from the 034. The 036 sprocket cover is magnesium rather than plastic. If you want to use an 034 engine shroud on an 034s / 036, you'll have to trim an interior rib to clear the larger cylinder.

I think the engine shrouds are, but not everything. I've had an 034, 034S, 036 and 036 pro, but not all at the same time so I haven't been able to do side-by-side comparisons.

Yes. They use the same cylinder. The 036 standard and the 034 Super are the exact same. Even the recoil cover was round and plastic. The 036 Pro is when the switch to Mag recoil cover was made (both will still mount to either one).

Yours is a Super? Correct Pete? Then just stay away from the cylinder on the 034 and you should be fine. The carb, air filter, and air filter cover are different from Pro to standard 036.
