Hey guys - I've been searching here and on a few other sites and I'm having a hard time finding good info on converting the 325 spur sprocket on my PS-510 to a rim sprocket. I suppose I'll call Bailey's on Friday, but figured I'd see what can be found here too. My spur sprocket is starting to get some wear - nothing to bad, but at about $30 for the new spur, I figured for the same money (or close) I might be able to change out the the rim drum and sprocket. Read of some possible issues with proper mating to the oiler with the conversion. If anyone is running this saw with this set-up, would like to hear any info you might have on parts and if anything had to be done to ensure the oiler was mated correctly. Thanks! Cheers!
pretty sure one from a 5100 is the same. I had a 510 years ago and put a rim on it from a 5100, as the spur was wore. as far as part numbers and whatnot, I'm not sure.
Thanks - I'll look into that as well - I was hoping I might interchange the rim drum/sprocket off my 520i - I don't use it much and the spur from the Dolmar would be fine for the little I use the 520i, but I'm guessing they won't swap out - Cheers!
You da man Cut4fun! Thanks so much - are you selling these? If so, I'll order from you as a thanks - if not, I've found some places - let me know! I have an extra new small mount oregon 325 rim sprocket, so looks like I just need the drum. Thanks again!
Those prices are straight from Jack's online. There is a great Dolmar dealer on my site Chainsaw Repair I bet can beat those prices. Look for him in the Dolmar board and where to buy online board he has a store.
