I decided to get the 572. Western with heated handlebars and winter kit. It will be my winter saw.
    I have a couple 460 Stihls and a 288 for warmer conditions.
Anyone use or used one of these yet ?

Yes. I have a 2019 model, unheated. Overkill for my amateur use but I wanted one, saved my pennies and got one. Nice saw. I think you will enjoy it.

Fantastic saw. Give it to Huskihl and let him put the beans to it and get the full wrap kit.

    Thanks for the replies !
Can anyone tell me what the fuel and oil capacity is ?
Or on the flip side, how long does it run on a tank of fuel ?

    Thank you !
The numbers don't look all that impressive. But I started running hopped up 044s in 90. And even before that had run modified 266 Husky that had the carb from a 2100 on it. And the 460 Stihl that Mike Lee hopped up still gets with the program ! But is starting to show its age.
However, none of them had heated handles !

I decided to spring for the winter kit for vanity reasons.
Duct taping the starter cover is kinda ugly by spring.
From what I heard the handles are stretched out farther than the 372 so that's a big plus !

huskihl has ported all but one of my saws and does a heck of a good job. Many here have ran his saws, are really happy with their performance. He also rebuilds saws, he would be able to rebuild/freshen that Mike Lee 460 that you have. I cant speak highly enough about his work.

I have the 2020 572 with the 28.inch bar, full wrap handle and west coast spikes. What a great saw. It pulls through everything I put it in. I used it mainly for felling and bucking duties while my 450 rancher does all the limbing work.

I have it coming with a 28" b+c . After watching Hotsaw 101 vid grudge matching the 462 and 572 I agree with his assessment that the 572 will work great with the longer bars .
I've fell and bucked Lots of timber with the 371 +372 with 32" bars and semi skip chain and 8 tooth sprockets. So I think they will work well with the 572. However I don't have much timber around here that is all that big. Plus, a long bar is a bit of a pain to pack on a snogo.
With the captured bar nuts , it shouldn't be bad pulling the b+c off when I hop on the snogo.

    One of my 044s . 1992 . Madsen's Modified.
    34" Sugi Hara 3/8 .063
    Chisel ground Oregon 75 CJ
    Full skip. 7 tooth
The yellow cedar snag stump measured 96" perpendicular to the face. There is about a 2' hole where the heart had rotted out.
The top had blown out of it around 245 years before I fell that strip.
I kinda think the 572 will put out more snort than the 044s would.
