This year, property maintenance isn't going to match our burn rate, so I need to buy logs for the first time. Does anyone know of a logger that'll deliver a load of logs to a residential address? I'm looking for enough logs to turn into 3-ish cords split. The local firewood dealers around here buck in the woods and only bring out rounds and therefore can't sell me logs.
Get ya over to the members map... Members Map | Firewood Hoarders Club and ping all the Ohio folks. I'm sure some of them can help! Once you open it, PM all the members close.
Check all the logging companies in your area and check their website if they don't have one call them
I am in Licking County as well. How good are you at felling trees? lol I have a handful of ash trees still standing that are dead and need to come down. Im still dragging logs off of my hillside and have access to a golf course that drops 80-100 trees a year and I am able to take pretty much anything I want. Do you have a dump trailer? I also have a friend same one whos father runs the golf course, whos cousin ( 80+ year old) has a farm in Lancaster who needs several trees as I understand could be 20 or so cut down and taken out. Basically I have several places to get wood from for free, have a diesel truck, just no trailer lol. I have to rent one when I need it. Shoot me a pm maybe we can help each other out
My son-in-law works for a land clearing company. They do work all over the state. He says that the price is between $650 and $800 for a full load depending on trucking distance. He says the load is between 7 and 8 cords. If interested PM me and I will send you his cell #.
