Both of the springs on my little flipper deals are broken now.
Anyone ever fix these, or can you buy replacements??

Depends on your ladder brand and model. Werner has parts available for their ladders online.

Usually they are not to hard to operate (extend & retract) with the springs gone, as long as the ladder is standing up in the air. A lot of ladders (with the springs shot) will still "gravity" lock on the way up, and need to be held with your thumbs to keep from wanting to latch on each rung, on the way down. Make sure that both are fully locked before you climb and once your weight is on the ladder they will not come out. And like the stickers say, stay clear of overhead wires! My buddy saw a guy blow his feet off just as he died hitting an energized overhead wire with an aluminum (conductive) ladder. Needless to say he only owned wood then f/g ladders :D
