If it's from china I can tell you there a great chance it is not nearly as good. They're cheap for a reason (most of which is from basic human rights issues).
I was eyeing one at the local stihl shop the other day, decided against it even though it gets great reviews. I use a grinder and don't sharpen in the field, just swap a different chain But sometimes curiosity gets the better of me Would hate to buy a cheap knockoff version and find out it sucks and have to buy the real deal Sometimes cheap is more expensive in the long run
What I feel would be the difference from a Stihl or Perf 2in1 is the quality of the files. All the files I have seen that were made in the USA now are made by Chinese Companies, don’t cut all well and wear out faster.
This is the answer. That's a all we have are the pferd. I used a friend's Stihl version and it was literally the same as the pferd, except white and orange. Pferd makes the Stihl version. Don't buy the Chinese knock offs. You want the good quality German files. Pferd has been making files for a couple of hundred years.
I have extra saws, so if ones dull I grab another, but I’ll sharpen a dull saw before I put it up. If it’s a metal strike I may wait until tomorrow. Depends on daylight and how my hands feel. Been a life long pferd round file user. I’ve tried a China file, but it was trash.
