Looking at buying a home weather station but my research leads me to think they're not very durable and will only work for a year or two .

upload_2016-10-12_21-51-56.png Acurite has updated the online information on both your PC and your cell phone.. It's an OK weather station for the price point.. This is a SS of the new interface with lots more info beyond this..

I've had mine for a few years and yes I had to repair the 5 in 1 sensor but apparently they have corrected some issues.. For what I paid I can't complain..

I can't even get a remote thermometer to last a couple years.
I don't have much faith in more expensive stations.

Get one of those fancy weather rocks! If it's wet it's raining if it's white it's snowing if you can see it it's sunny and if you can't see it your in a bad part of town and someone stole it! Errrrr maybe it's nighttime?:rofl:
    Sorry I couldn't resist.

Cool they go on sale all the time.. I mounted my sensor at my wood shelter just above the roof.. I rarely look at the base station but use the cell phone app or PC to view the info..

If you sign up for their email you will get a 10% off.. They always have deals.. I hear Davis is the best but they are much more $$..

Believe I have model 01055 which has the blue screen.. Don't think color was available then.. Paid about $100.00 and free shipping.. Like I said I prefer viewing information on cell or laptop so display doesn't matter to me but the color display seems impressive.. BTW what town do you live in?
