The HOSS dealer sells anti corrosion fluid for around $100 bucks a gallon. This is my third year of operations and I usually put it in around the end of the season. The container has nothing on it except that its made for HOSS. Does any one know if there is any thing out there that is cheaper and does a good job? I want to get as much out of the heat exchangers as possible but don't want to spend an arm and a leg to do it. Thanks.
I have a central and a gallon usually goes for the ballpark of $40 per gallon. But, same thing, no ingredients are listed. I would think it contains pump lubricants and anti rust, anti scale, etc. Even asked an havc supplier if he had something comparable ....
Thanks, Would love to know. I put in a gallon at the beginning and at the end of the season. $200.00 a year starts to add up.
What is right for one brand can be wrong for the next. The best treatment for an open system is not right for a closed system. Neither is stainless the same as mild steel... We sell Heatmaster brand OWBs and they use a product from Certified Labs. This is for open system units made of .409 Stainless Steel.
Mainline heating in CT. Had a gallon of the CB stuff tested in a lab to find all ingredients. That testing cost them a ton of money. Now they make their own. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
