Anthill Art...my next project

Coworker showed me a youtube video of these cool creations.

They pour molten aluminum down fireant mounds and then dig up the casting.

 

Can't say I could quite get into that kind of art.
But it is cool of how they create it.

 

I'm really just looking for a reason to make a small metal furnace

 

I think it was BrianK that had a thread on making a mini foundry.

 

Cool, I want to try it on some woodchuck holes!

 

Shew that be a lot of aluminum.

 

Propane, oxygen and an igniter works better on woodchuck holes. (click the big explosion emoticon here)
