Finished. Decided to slap up the roof before the rains come.
The black tarp is a 10x20 I had kicking around. Put that on temporary.

Poor shot of the tee at top to hold the ridge line. Wrapped with an old pair of jeans.

Got it on there halfazzed anyway. I’ll do a little touch up tomorrow before the wind and rain hits. Getting closer to what it should look like anyway. 7B3D4C10-B408-4C08-A04F-FE6903AF6512.jpeg

How much wood do you reckon that is? Looks like a bunch. Good Idea on the configuration.

Wow. I like it; kind of reminds me of a corn crib. How many cords do you figure are in there?

Should be close to 10 cord. I didn’t pile it as high as I could. Wanted to make sure the 12 foot 4x4’s were high enough
Just heard we may have 50 mph gusts tomorrow. I know what I’ll be doing in the morning.

Thanks. I’ve been known to test things to the extremes. Looks like this will be the same hahaha

Whew, 50 mph winds.... I hope after the winds blow through, and you post an update, it still looks as good as it does now......

I really like the TENT approach at covering. Should be much more air circulation.

LOL. Let’s just say I went through a growth spurt in my old age and the leg length wasn’t it. :)

Well I opened the trunk of my Honda Civic rolling toolbox and the last package of bungee cords is not there. Must’ve brought them out last time. So I buttoned up what I could, secured the ones on there a little better and called it good for now.
Spent some time moving the conveyor back into the new pen. Snapped a pic halfway there. I’ve taken to using the log arch to back it in position. Just too heavy to drop on the atv itself.

Guess I’ll just ride out the storm on my shrimpin boat.

SURVEY SAYS!!! We live to fight another day. I don’t think we saw any 50 mph gusts but man did it rain for awhile yesterday. Think we hit 60 degrees yesterday and this morning the deck was frozen with some large snowflakes on it. New England weather.
It did answer a question I’ve had for awhile. Will the conveyor belt freeze to the metal body? Yes it will. Able to get my fingers under it and pry it up, get it moving. Hopefully those conditions aren’t prevalent over the winter,,,, Took a lot of rain to get under there then snap freeze.
54 in the house this morning. Dog gave me one of those looks. Stove full of Tree of Heaven on fire right now :)

Wind was crazy here too but I believe the weather dude saying they were 35mph gusts. It wasn't too hateful. Sure was a much colder wind. :shiver:

35 sounds about right. From the little I saw on radar it seems we were in the same path. ENE storm.
