Only about 1/4 cord if that. Gambel oak and Douglas Fir. I’m sure cash can appreciate this as he has the same types of wood in his region. A little here, a little there. They all add up.

Not only do they add up, but now that wood will heat your home instead of turning to compost elsewhere.
I've been looking at each bed-load as a day or two's worth of heat. Heat I won't be paying a monopoly big business for!!

Thanks. Where I live the oak only comes by true scrounging. But by the end of summer I can usually scrape together a cord of oak, maybe a little more if I work consistently between working. Time is the real issue.

Possibly. But I will burn the last year or two’s oak I have first. If I run out then yes. But hopefully no.

It’s a treat when I do. Only have 2 or three that grow around here naturally.

Hey, buddy. I’m just seeing this. I’m jealous of that nice pickup load of Gambel. We have it here too, but it takes a long time for it to get as big as the stuff you have. That stuff will heat you out of the house, on the coldest night of the year!

Yeah, I got luck today. I have learned when I see a stand of Gambel oak from afar the key to it it walking up to the stand and standing in the middle of it and most of the time there will be one or two, maybe three dead standing ones, which is all so can cut per rules. (The dead ones). Sometimes after I cut them they are bigger than it first appeared. But they all add up fairly quickly.
