Haven't lit one yet, but this week we'll have lows in the upper 20's so I'll do it then. So far been excersizing the LP furnace to remove the chill. I hate to hear it run but it's good to use it occasionally to burn out the cobwebs. Sent from my SM-G930VL using Tapatalk
I think somebody told me that about my brain once. Boiler's been lit for a couple weeks now. Wood is my primary heat here.
Two small fires a day this week. Outside temps hovering between mid 40’s to mid 50’s, mostly cloudy and rain. Supposed to see temps in the 30’s later this week.
Been burning for a couple weeks, morning fire to make a lump of heat for the day, and a couple times a night fire for a night lump. I ran the furnace today to take the chill off and for peace of mind to know she still fired up. Last time we fired it was july. We'll exercise it perhaps quarterly, even for 15 minutes, just to make sure. Sca
I did the same with my furnace a couple days ago. I don't think it had run since March. I've been doing 2 small fires a day for a couple weeks. One when I get up and one around beer thirty.
I expect most will be having fires this week. I've had several fires as this is our only heat. This time of year we have to start most fires then just let them burn out. Soon we'll just keep them going.
I like your fire starter,. I have had the OWB started up for a few weeks now, will stay lit tell end of spring now
Been having night time fires in the quadrafire most nights. I only turn the blower on the insert when we go to bed, otherwise it gets too warm in the living room/ kitchen.
