My neighbor down the road had the above stove and he called and said his agitator is not working and the stove is filling with pellets and shutting off. I am going there in the am to check it out, any ideas what i am to be looking for. I am not versd in this stove at all.

I think schoondog has this stove. Hopefully he sees this post. Maybe make sure the damper is open and maybe give the stove a good cleaning. You can also take a lamp cord and hook up the stirrer/agitator motor directly and see if it works. Unfortunately, that's about all I have.

Make sure the agitator is free to turn and is not bound up in the burn pot. Check the fuses in the back of the control board. After disconnecting from outlet, check them and spin them to be sure they are tight in the holders. The only problem I ever had with my stove was with the fuse holders in the control board. I tried to run my stove without the agitator and as I remember it didn't work so well. Stove really needs to have the agitator spinning to burn correctly. Motor is on left side. Check for voltage. As slvrblkk said be sure the damper just below burnpot is open an inch or more after agitator starts. Manual is on line at us stove.com and they are also good folks to call and ask questions if need be.
Good luck and I'll try to check in tomorrow to see how ya made out.

    Doggy

I'm wondering the same?? How did you make out?

Even without the agitator it should burn for quite a while. So I suspect a good cleaning was needed as well.

OK good luck. When you clean it up be sure you pull the burn pot and clean the carbon from it. My stove always has some build up on it.
