Is anyone familiar with these log splitters? It has a honda 240 engine 8hp. Seen this for sale on a board at a gun club. Built 2012. 20210617_175917.jpg

The ad says been "garage kept and very good condition." Probably only used to split poplar once a month. By an old lady.

Not so sure about the 25" working height. Im 6'1".
    Asking 3500.00

That looks like a 25HH . I’ve had one since around 2011 ,or so . Love it . And , I’m around 6’1” …. The working height is perfect . You might haggle on the price . Going from memory , 3500 seems to be the price when new back then . Could be wrong on that though .

Did they provide a pic of the actual splitter? This kind of reminds me of the classic used car line: It ran when parked.

Yep, recently bought a Super. Havent used it much. Just enough to know the six way wedge is not an option you want. Seems to be a new offering for these splitters and wasn’t tested well IMO. Design flaw.
I need to get out and use mine without the six way on some tough stuff before I could give an honest opinion.
My particular model was designed for speed. Claimed 6-7 second cycle time. If I had ordered it personally I would have opted for a larger cylinder, more power, less speed. Bought it sight unseen off the showroom floor ;)
Most models have quite a few different options that will change how they perform and the pricing. Quality components anyway.
The pans could use better support.

That photo is the “Big One” model. Don’t know what they are going for. Has the five inch cylinder and thicker beam. Nowadays comes with Honda 390. Guesstimate $7000+ today
I laid a little over $7000 for the super with a log lift and electric start. Other 25 models were about $5000 with log lift.
Check it out, bring some gnarlys, see if it will do what your looking for.
