Whoever said that Amarillo Texas is a one-horse town? World War II brought gasoline and rubber rationing to Texas. That might have impacted commerce in some other places, but Amarilloans just shrugged their shoulders, got on their horses, went to town, and tied them up to parking meters. This was actually taken on Route 66 in Amarillo.
