Was over at my parents Sunday to watch a recorded football game. Stepped out side for a minute and heard the sound of an eagle. Couldn’t see it, so I walked to their back 40. There’s a huge dead standing oak tree and lo and behold I spot 2 bald eagles sitting atop. Called out dad and wife so they could see and he brought binoculars. Simply awesome sight! Then I notice it was 3! The one on the right looked like its tail wasn’t fully white but it never flew to verify. The other 2 glided down towards the creek bed.

If you zoom in, the third is on the right side.

My first eagle sighting was on the banks of the Mississippi in Iowa. Quite a few at the time, maybe 15-20 years ago.

I get to see them fairly regular but it's still a treat.

This was the first time dad saw bald eagles at his house. I've seen them the area multiple times.

I wish I could saw that tree! It's on the old family farm property, which had to get sold many years ago to pay for my grandmothers stay in a home. :( :headbang: It was always know as "the big tree" as a kid. The "new" owners (this happened many moons ago) are not very friendly type people. Dad tells me if people walk/fish the creek that borders the property, the owner will come out and try to chase you off/out.

My brother, having grown up in an area with bald eagles almost being a nuisance, moved to an area with very few around. He is a photographer and had a camera shop. One day a man came running into the shop all excited that he saw an eagle just outside of town and he figured my brother would want to get a picture of it. My brother didn't have the heart to tell him about the many, many pictures he already had of eagles.

As many as we have seen, it still was amazing to see them come down and grab fish from the water or to be a silhouette on a lone tree top much like your pictures.

Living along the river I see eagles frequently. I once watched one come down and take a canadian goose out and another saw 2 flying together. One was in front more and had a fish and dropped it, the other caught the fish out of mid air. Both were really cool to witness.

Saw this one a couple years ago down the road from me.

As a kid, I never saw a bald eagle. Now more common and I still get excited when I see them.

    Nice pics.

I have a tree in my yard that eagles will regularly perch in. The most we saw perched at the same time was also three eagles.

Two adults and one young. During the mornings of summer, when the windows are open, the sound that wakes us up is from the eagles calling out.

We had a GTG on Labor Day weekend with a couple dozen visitors. They all got a good look at an eagle as one was perched in the tree during the party. "Boy, are they ever big"

We se them frequently while out on the ice fishing. It’s common for someone to throw a perch or pickerel out away from the group to lure one in for a close look. Sometimes they come close enough to hear their wings cutting through the air.

I don't always look at the "eagle tree" when I go outside and have been surprised many times when my actions disturb a resting eagle (or two or three).

Yesterday was no different. While driving the mini-truck to the basement door, a mature eagle took flight. Probably wondering why this homeowner was driving across their lawn.

Those wings sure do move a lot of air!

Another tree at the edge of my property had 5 turkey vultures one evening. Next morning, while on my walk, 6 of them left that same tree! They sure have become prevalent over the last few decades.
