They can win and dominate that race for the next decade, its been rough here! I have snow plow banks 8' high around the driveway and its layers of ice. The big trouble will start when this melting begins and roof ice damming starts in the northeast. I was up on a ladder 3 days last week and I was hurting. It did encourage me seeing the chimney pipe oozing clear heat and finding the wood stove packed with hickory. Who knows when the spring bulbs will get past the glacial pack and I'm sure the overwintered spinach greens are gone. Waiting for spring has never sounded so painful...:zip:

Can't open it without logging in.

What part of Alaska? Just an FYI it doesn't snow that much in many parts of AK.

Anchorage would be a fair comparison

I'd much rather have 24" of snow on the ground than
    What we have now

I'd gladly share some with you Dave. Got another 6" yesterday. I even blocked part of our driveway today when plowing simply because I'm out of room!

Well I just took the above pic.
You can see that we could use some snow.
Maybe we'll get some in March :)

    Nice blue sky
    Pretty woods
    No mud in the driveway.
    All good stuff :)

Snow don't look real deep on the roofs.
At least your not having to shovel them off.

Glad I don't have to pay the NYC snow removal tab… according to Bloomberg, it's supposed to be around a million bucks per inch…

We got slammed on again last night. I got stuck and stayed home today. More snow this year than the last 2 or 3 combined.

This morning is was covered. We got a LOT of snow last night.

The whole house stayed home and we did snow duty for almost 2 hours. It warmed to about 40° today. So the Sun and warmth allowed for the visual of the driveway

We will get some melt. But the zap forecast says a wave of cold chit, and more snow, maybe another big one.

We've had a near-record year in terms of cold, and also a VERY snowy winter here as well. We've got around 18-20" on the ground after yesterday's blast........lots of ice on the roads this morning for the commute to work, a mediocre warm-up from now til Friday (some snow loss, I'm sure) and a couple of "possible" storms in the coming weeks......could be up there in terms of snow when it's all said and done. My snowmobile is finally getting a workout this winter!
