Over the years I’ve used many different blades and string head attachments on my hand held brush cutters. A few years back I ordered an Airecut blade and found I really like it for thick grass and blackberries.
Some of the berry vines today were 1 1/2 thick and the Airecut worked well.

A couple of points to make is to make sure you have a machine with enough power. The Shindaiwa 350 is a pretty good machine but even it bogs in the really thick grass. If I keep the rpms up, the Airecut hardly ever wraps up with grass or vines.

The design of the blade is such that it lifts material up in the air and off the ground so a face shield is an absolute must when using an Airecut blade. And you are going to get covered in debris so don’t wear your Sunday clothes while cutting.
