Yeah, you need to get busy, all that wood laying around and you don't have any at the home place... ...
Beautiful place and nice job on the big hoard you already have.

Definitely some splitting to do. Will wait for later in the year before firing up the splitter.
I wasn’t going to haul the rounds down until later, but the recent purchase of a Polaris Ranger made it possible to move quite a bit down from the ridge.

I’d sure not mind if somebody wanted to cut up there but the bug in the ointment is the road access.
I can get up my trail with the side by side and my quad.
The road is maintained by the power company and crosses private property before it gets to the woodlot.
When my Dad owned the property it was assumed there was a right of way across the private property and access was never an issue.
When we sold the place, a recorded right of way was never found and the owners of the private property limited access and cut off access to the new owner.
After I purchased the woodlot, the new owner of the private property has been good about letting me up the road to cut wood, but I don’t want to abuse the privilege so limit my visits via the road.
So far it has worked out ok for me and the private property keeps people from going up there and tearing things up.

A legally described and recorded Ingress/Egress easement is ideally what you want. Hopefully you can cultivate a good relationship with the new private property owner to accomplish this.
Although not unheard of it's somewhat odd your property doesn't have this included in the deed, abstract etc. May be worth reading completely through your abstract yourself. Attorney's are notorious for not recognizing such things. No offense to those here that are now, or have been, in that field:whistle:
