No manual… the stove has been keeping myshop @65F running on 1/9… but I'm using a few more pellets than I'd like… so what do I turn down?

I think the #'s are 4-6-1… really never messed with them. Running on 2 or 3 I may get 12-14 hours on a 40# bag… the shop is plenty warm just idling on 1 with the fan cranked but I think it's using a few more pellets than I'd like. I could stand to have the shop a tad colder if I can save some fuel.

kroos.....you'll have to double check those numbers to make sure that's really what they are. You can close up the feed gate at the bottom of the hopper a bit to limit the pellets going through. You'll have to be careful that you don't go too much and choke it.

Okay… the lower #'s are 6-4-1. I just filled the hopper for the fourth time today. My first fill was at about 10AM… I had the stove set on #3 until the late afternoon then set it at #1.

Take the bottom 3 setting down to 4-4-1 or 4-6-1....whatever one seems to burn the best. That should cut the fuel usage down some, and not hurt the temp too much.

To change them, first press the button of the one you want to change, and then press either both up or both down buttons at the same time.

I turned it down to 4-6-1… we'll see how it works there… with the other settings @ 1/7. That higher fan speed helps circulate the warm air better.

    Sounds good.

One thing to remember on these stoves, (as per Mike H.)...don't get the LBA above 7....at that point you start sending the hot air through the stove too fast and up the chimney, lowering efficiency. That's why I also suggested the 4-4-1 (or 4-5-1).....it might get more heat out since the air is going through the stove slower.

Just something to try over the course of the winter. You'll find the "sweet spot".

What the h*ll is the LBA?

The stove burned less than 1/3 of the hopper's pellets over 8 hours on heat level one last night. The shop was much cooler but still comfy enough to work in… maybe 45F. I set it up to #3 today.. outside temps were a windy 17. Turned it down at 6PM…. back out there at 10AM Sunday.
