I like how their "forecast" basically just changes as the weather does. Our forecast low for tonight was 3 earlier today. As the actual temp has dropped, so has the forecast. I just looked again, and the forecast is now for -2, which is real convenient, as that's right where we are at the moment. I wonder if they're using a "weather rock"?
By changing the predicted lows/highs to correspond with the current temps, at least we know that there is actually someone there looking at current conditions!
Where else can you work, making over 100g's a year, using a multi-million dollar computer, be wrong 95% of the time and still have a job?.......................
Better than our CBS channel they literally said the low for the day was -1 and current temperature at 530 was -2 This is a paid meteorologist ya think he would have basic math and pick the lower of the two numbers
I keep telling myself......"self, quit looking at the weather forecast". Do I listen? No, I do not. It's almost like passing a car wreck........ya just gotta' look, eh?
Todays weather calls for partly cloudy with sunny periods with possible showers and an occasional thunder storm and strong gusty winds with hail. This evening will see rain and sleet changing to blowing and drifting snow with accumulations varying in different elevations. Temperatures will range from a low of 72 this morning with a gradual rise to 93 this afternoon, then a abrupt change this evening with a low -7 by morning.
NOAA really tickles me too. We had it just a couple days ago when they gave the overnight predicted low but that was followed by the next day's predicted high....which was 1 or 2 degrees lower than the overnight low. Hum.... Wonder how they do that?
Actually thats exactly what it did here. We had our high for the day early in the morning. It never warmed up. It stayed the same all day and dropped like a rock in the evening. But it made for 2 nice days of cutting and hauling. Got about a cord or so of rounds hauled in from the neighbor's
