I have received a very special saw. About a year ago I was surfing the web looking for answers to all the questions I had about firewood and burning it in a tube stove. That's when I found the FHC site. I floated around for a few months as a visitor. Then I joined up. I never thought anything like this would happen. I'm sure you all remember the great donation raffle for Justin Cole that Pallet Pete setup. A child with leukemia. This great group of people bid like crazy. A very good thing. It came down to the drawing and badbob won the saw. This great guy set it back up for another donation raffle! I wanted to get back in, but had vehicle issues. You guys did it again. This time around @Jstromsburg won. But he talked to his family and they decided they could go with out a few Christmas presents to help another child in need. Wow. You all are great people! Somehow you all decided to give me the saw. I'm still having a hard time to express my gratitude for this great gesture. I thank you all very much. I hope I can make it to Backwoods Savage GTG to meet you all. Sorry for the lack of action pic's. I have just about everything cut up, but in the future my special saw will be there!
Thank you. The service manager I work with is from your area. His family is down there. All his vacations are always to KC. He gets to alot of football games in your stadium.
Way to go, everybody Don't worry, you have time for action pics Thor, and it would be great to see that saw and meet you at Backwoods Savage & Judy's GTG
I didn't put the time in it deserves because I was excited to use it. Can't wait to get it out again. My youngest is going video me using it and help me get it posted when I get another scrounge.
40cc saws are so under respected. Great versatile and very capable firewood saws. Easy to start and handle. I think every firewood guy could benefit from a good 40cc saw. Hope you can come across some wood to cut soon. Would love to see some videos of the little guy putting some work in.
I love my Stihl 011 top handles. They are great limb saws and work great on small stuff. I will use it up to like 8" but in to big of wood it's just too slow and I get impatient. It's got a 14" bar so it's not like I'm trying 18" wood or anything. But that saw has some snot in it. Very spruced at its power with a good sharp chisel chain on it.
