I've had a fire almost every morning all Spring
Last year was 20° warmer , this time of the year.
May have to have a fire thru the night, to be in the 30°s :hair:

I'm hoping we're done with the burning for this year but you never can tell.

We are burning about every other day right now. Supposed to be warming up, but I like it cool. Better to warm up with cheap firewood than to cool down with expensive electricity.

Them temps would require fire here...:shiver:
Supposed to be some lows in the 50's (F's) over the next few nights, with day time hi's in mid to low 60's...
May need a small :fire: ?

We had a small fire about a week ago, but hadn't burned for 6 weeks before that. We are done, till fall. I got a ton of wood to process, so I can get at other wood buried under wood I need to cut. I want cool weather to do that.

We hadn't burnt for about a week or so, but I lit one this morning. 42 out and 66 in when I got up. We have been getting warm enough in the day to keep the house nice despite being in the 40's in the night, but yesterday afternoon was cloudy, So we started the night a little cooler. I think this will likely be our last fire this season.

66 IAT when I awoke and 68 now, but I'm debating about a fire. Still raining, so it feels cool.
Been having morning fires too, and another wouldn't hurt my feelings one bit.
Need to check the weather forecast.

I will light fire anytime house drops below 60 and it's raining... but I have to watch weather for 2 days in advance as the soapstone stays warm for that long.... not a problem in winter but summer can be... last fire Sunday but windows were open!

Lit a small fire again this morning. Another inch of rain overnight left it a bit damp but now it seems to be getting a bit too warm in here. Tis okay though as we do have windows that open.

Haven't put the backup system in yet for my OWB (Bradford-White Aerotherm Hybrid Electric Heat Pump) so I'm still burning 8-10 splits a day for hot water.

Mrs. M2theB did the grande stove clean last weekend and proclaimed burning season over!
51 F, windy, rainy, and prime for a little something to take the curse off. I mentioned the idea when I got home and was reminded, burning season is over.
