I want to get my mill going again and have the chance to get some logs. They have been sitting all summer and I don't know how long it will take to mill them up. Could be a year or more. They are red pine, white pine, and other mixed wood. Is there any reality to keeping them in good shape for at least several months, assuming they are still ok?

    Another question....

If I need a pond to store logs, how big does it need to be for a given volume of logs?

The boring beetles like to get in the Pine once it's cut down. They could be ok, but theirs a good chance they have tunnels in them.
