The last few days the colors have really changed fast. They are even brighter today but no, I did not take any today. These are from yesterday.
Wish I could get back out to take pictures today to show the difference a day can make but danged if I didn't sit down wrong and hurting like a *%^$* so not even any hunting tonight. Be better tomorrow.
What area were you in? Last weekend the colors were vibrant. This week the some maples are losing their leaves...... the beauty only lasts so long.
We were in Intervale and as you said the colors were amazing. And as you mentioned, the maples are losing their leaves quickly. You guys had that cold weekend and that may have had something to do with it. I woke up to 28 deg on Sunday morning and as soon as the sun rose the leaves started to fall.
It's an amazing sight. I remember last year in pa, the sun coming up after a crisp night, just over a hill. As the sun hit the top of the tree, the leaves from that point started falling. I watched the tree for some time as the light went down the crown of the tree, and the leaves continued to fall. It was memorizing
Nice color, Dennis. Some of ours just started to turn from overnight. It's about the latest I can remember.
What an amazing change overnight. Those pictures posted are nice but the vibrant colors are gone this morning. Lots of leaves fell too because of some windy conditions. But it appears the best color has past now.
It comes quick and it can go just as quickly. The trees here have not yet peaked. Usually, right after Halloween we get a good blow and the leaves are just about gone.
