My 7900 arrived as described. Very nice saw that is as clean as a new saw under the hood. Can't wait to give it a try.

KilliansRedLeo was a pleasure to deal with, buy with confidence from him.

Couple obligatory pictures including one with the 046 :saw:

Bryan, you are welcome, it was my pleasure! I thank you for your kind words.

In my experience there is not much to be gained by a MM on a 7900, best would probably be remove the screen open up the factory port and put the screen back. 7900s muffler feels heavy, I originally thought it might be a cat, but was told it is not, its just heavy!

Nice saw Hittin! Now you got 2 monsters I want to run! That 046 is a beauty and I love the all red 7900. The black filter top will help filter chips better, but it's not an absolute must. It just has a mesh screen at the intake, where the red or grey covers (Makita) don't have it.

I almost pulled the trigger on a MS 440. But because I didn't, another member here got it. And he has been looking for a nice clean 70 cc saw. So I am happy to have passed on it, and another member get it.

Yeah Dex, they are both big saws..... my 372 is actually hiding behind the 7900 in the photo.

Dexter that is easilly cured on both the older Dolmars and the Mikitas with a piece of monel 20 micron blood screen glued to the inside of the cover with gel type CA glue!

Bryan, if you want to have a black rear cover for the saw, I have a new one round here, let me know. The all red Dolmar covers are extremely hard to find!

Umm, is this the nonexistent screen you're referring to?

cut4fun is correct. You can cover the round holes and the louvers with the monel on the inside.
