    Glad ya got it sold.
    :yes:

    I'm partial to bowties, so it weren't really for me.

    My regular mechanic showed me his "new" C-10 Chevy yesterday, can't remember the year on it.. It's just what I want.. No "computer brain".. no excess electronic BS.. carburetor, distributor, just the essential to to make an engine run.
    :thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

    Tired of all the additional BS that requires everything to be dealer serviced.

    $2700 on the '09 Silverado, and it's still not running right.

    Dealership can kiss my arse.. not one red cent will ever be spent there.

    My buddy was at the Ford Truck Nationals in Pigeon Forge a couple week ago...he sent me A TON of pics...there had to be over a billion $ worth of iron there...in-stinkin-sane! The level of quality and perfection that people take these custom resto's to these days is just mind blowing!

    Only reason I'm selling this one is to get a heavier truck for wood.

    Well, is it better to buy an older vehicle on "the cheap" (not inexpensive) and spend $40K on a restoration, or go to the dealer lot and pay just as much for something that you'll always have to take back to them??

    I'm with ya brother...they can stick their automated "smart cars/trucks" up their wazookies!
    To me it seems like the best of both worlds (electronics/"self repair-ability" peaked about 20 years ago, give or take, depending on make/model) I hate the keyless ignition on the wifes new Odyssey! What a dumb idea...it is NOT better than chip keys!
    An old high boy with a mechanical Cummins and a 5 spd would be a pretty sweet ride!
    The farmer I worked for in high school had a '74(?) F250HB spray rig...360/4spd IIRC. We all though it was so high, but that was nothing compared to todays trucks! :rofl: :lol:

    I know where one is, I believe it has a 390 engine with a 4 speed transmission.

    I will make an inquiry tomorrow.

    My ideal truck would be a 78-79 F150 4x4 or 70-72 chevy C10 with a built 4bt Cummins P pump, built turbo 400 auto with an over drive unit behind the 205 Tcase. Long box, 4" lift and 33 inch tires. 4 link coil suspension front and rear for a smooth ride. It would be a pavement princess pulling my camper. Of course it would have air lockers front and rear that Id never need. Lol
