    Nice old saw.
    I never saw a gap like that in the bar near the sprocket before. What's it's purpose?

    No sprocket on that. Its a roller nose bar. Similar to this. It allows any pitch chain to be run. 792DF0AA-A7B5-4F17-8932-F92E30198F35.jpeg
