Mine stalls out randomly after returning to idle. Take to dealer or nature of the beast. Good running saw but heavy. Usually use my 562xpat but it's out of warranty now so I wanna spare it. It never stalls
I have no experience with any Autotune saws. However if my saws dies or stalls it is time to adjust the carb or start looking for what is causing it. I would have the dealer look at it especially if it is under warranty.
When my 261 was new, and stock, it did the same thing. Would idle for 15-30 seconds and then die. It got better with time and after sending it out for porting, zero trouble since. Maybe it just needs to have the squish band cut, and the port timing tweaked a bit. I would stick it in some big wood (sideways if ya gotta) and do some longer cuts with it. Make sure it's pinned at WOT because the AT only makes mixture adjustments at full throttle. 3-4 cuts longer than 15-20 seconds maybe 5-6, and it should have itself sorted out if it's anything to do with the AT adjustment. Some AT saws respond well to a tweaking of the L circuit of the carb. I dunno if the 576's carb can self-adjust the L or not. Either way, if it won't settle out after running it hard through some wood I'd be on the phone with the dealer seeing it it's something you can do or maybe they can solve with a quick "over the counter" remedy.
I dont know if the husqvarna have a special software for this first editions autotunes or if they have change the autotunes with newers editions specialy for the 576 so my opinion is better the operator ask the husqvarna directly if he can , for sure they are the best to give him a seriusly answer. Also its a good idea if he can take a look with the old fashion way maybe its just a dirty filter or something and not the autotune
Runs great wot as soon as idle drops such as after stumping a big one or cutting some 30 inch maple get off throttle it will drop low and stall or not if it doesn't and you hit throttle too quick it's a little boggy
Not normal behavior for 576AT, at least mine has done nothing of the sort. I assume you don't baby it, and exercise it properly under load @WOT long enough to let it stabilize. When people have tried the saw for slicing skinny sticks (IOW, just fooling around), it had no probs whatsoever. I'd suspect the basics, too.
Did you solve this issue? I have the same issue with my 576XP AT. Felling some large oaks today, the saw would stall out when returning to idle after cutting, I have given it some time to "run in", but am getting fairly annoyed by this.
I just had an AT 576 in the shop that the stator bolts backed out and caused problems but the saw would still run just bad. Something to look at.
It's running well under load, and starts easy, but after a cut or throttle up it stalls out when returning to idle. Will probably just return to dealer, barely has 4-5 tanks through it.
Dealer recommended the run-in procedure. Surprising how long 3-5 minutes feels when running at WOT. Hopefully this resolves the issue.
Usually 5 long cuts will set it. Just have plenty of big wood. Cutting cookies is good. Cookies make the AT happy.
Wow... I must have missed this thread. Glad to hear that maybe you've gotten your issue resolved Blackop555 . My 576XPAT has been a bit... but can't say that I've experienced this issue. It's just so smooth of a saw, I'll take it over my 460 any day...
