The chainsaw herpe virus has reappeared and this time it's got me thinking husqvarna 555/562xp. My tree worker buddy is saying 562xp. He's a husky guy. I'm more stihl but I wouldnt mind a good husky. They run longer bars at times and the large mount comes in handy on the 562xp. Plus being I have a masterminded 261c that puts out approx. 4.8 HP already I think I might be spoiled for anything less. I do not have the money to port either, was just gonna open up the muffler some. I cut a lot of firewood, sell a little, but mainly just like to run the latest and greatest. What y'all think?
Of course I can skip these 60cc and go 70cc...but for my needs that is overkill IMO. Like a .300 wm for 100 yd shots on whitetailswork well? Ya but no real need for it.
I was drooling all over the 562 at the husky dealer the other day when I was getting a couple parts for my new to me 372.
I must afraid admittedly do nots understand. You musts by new moto saw because saw old has something wring?
The 562xp is impressive! I usually say go with a 555 for $100 less, but since you have a ported 50cc, the XP is a nice jump in power. I run ported 50cc saws and a stock 562xp is a noticeable step up. I like 60cc saws and have no need for 70cc or larger.
Thats funny Guntar, alot a people would say the same thing. No comprende, have a great running saw already, but need another??
Ya the handling of those 562xp/555 seem pretty good when I pick em up at the dealer. Chevy, who ported your 562?
I really like my 562xp and even more so now that after today it will fit in my powerbox thanks to dgb84 .
After running a 562xp for a year, I sold my only big saw, a like new 365xpw 75cc top end. Just sayin n stuff.
Plus i feel that the jump to 70cc from the newer 60cc's adds too much weight for my uses. Although the 044/440 was pretty light to me for 70cc...
