After getting and running my new 562xp ported by AWOL it was time to let go of my stock 562xp. It has served me well as my primary firewood cutter for 5 years. Since I saw no need for 2 I posted it for sale locally. A young firewood cutter drove 2 hours this morning, and left with a new to him 562xp and a grin on his face. So my future 2 saw plan will be my AWOL 562XP and soon to be extra sausage 261C-M.
Just came in and sat down to check the trades. I was out cannibaling this 261c for a solenoid off the carb for another project. I’d like it to be a project but it’s drop or crush victim. But I’m really curious how it ran in it prime. It lays out like a 550 XP, kinda. My favorite stock saw.
I've kicked around selling the 261c-m and getting a 550xp many times, but I figured I would just hang on to it since I already have 2 bars and a half dozen chains.
I sold my AWOL 550 in Hope's to find a 2253 for him to work over. I still have my AWOL 562 though. Itll go to the grave with me. I'm fixn to send the cylinder out to us chrome to replate the cylinder. Had an air leak cause some scoring. That way I dont loose his awesome port work Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
