Saw bogged down in my tenth cut this morning and died when i let off throttle. This did happen once a couple weeks ago but it started back up and ran fine. This time i took the muffle off to have a look. We all know chit happens, but i am religious filling my gas can and adding husqvarna two-stoke mix at the same time. I clear gas hose at the pump by selecting high test, putting a gallon into my truck, then a gallon into gas can. This was the first tank with a fresh can so it is all vividly recent in my memory. This was the sixth gallon of fuel i have mixed up for this saw. Is there anything else that could have happened?
I doubt anything else would have caused it. The way the AT compensates for an air leak and all it would run like crap if that was it.
yeah man, really a big bummer. AT isn't smart enough to know something is up with the fuel? confirmed 2-stroke mixed. would water in the fuel do that? maybe it was NFG from the pump? thing is, if I missed mixing the previous batch, a whole gallon would have been run through this saw before I had this problem. seems unlikely, no? well now what? hey, whats up with wicked work saws? I was wanting to order my next saw from terry but I cant get his website. I know that fundraiser had happened, hope everything is alright.
It takes a while for a saw to go, there is residual oil present. Pushing it hard and for extended periods will hasten the process. Terry is covered in mowers, given him a call at the store.
That would be my guess. Has happened around here. lots of repairs covered by the fuel co. I always get a receipt for gas no matter how small of the amount, just in case.
To me it looks like it has Asian Piston Flu and should be put down! If you can't bear to do it just send it up to me! Gary
