    Was anyone here affected?
I was in high school in my area of Indiana. We didn’t get hit, but there were incredible news stories from our state. So many they didn’t have much time to talk about all the other areas

I worked at the National Weather Service in the early 80s and we had a training film titled Day of the Killer Tornadoes (I think). Before seeing that I wasn't too familiar with April 1974. Back then, tornado chasing was done by very few, and with little success . Now, anybody with a smart phone seems to do it.

Wow! Tornados are not something we have to deal with up here although occasionally waterspouts happen. I have only seen one when I was a teenager. As our weather patterns have changed, Canada is starting to see more and more of them in the prairies and Ontario.
